The pocket guide to the Stockades
See World of Warcraft for other pocket instance guides.
The Stockades is a dreary little instance for mid-20s level characters. It's conveniently located in Stormwind City. You should do it shortly after you finish the Deadmines.

Kill Charles Dexter Ward— I mean, Dextren Ward. Quell the Uprising / Stormwind / Warden Thelwater
A standard kill N mobs quest. The color of blood / Stormwind / Nikova Raskol
Raskolnikov's mom wants you to collect bandanas. Bandanas! More bandanas! These are wool, for a refreshing change of pace. What comes around / Lakeshire / Guard Berton
Kill Targorr the Dread.
The first step in this quest is a level 30 elite kill quest. The followup is a level 27 kill quest: kill Kam Deepfury. An unsent letter / Deadmines / Van Cleef's body, a letter
When you kill Van Cleef at the end of the Deadmines, you can loot an unsent letter from him. The letter sends you to Baros Alexston, who sends you to talk to Bazil Thedd in the Stockade. You don't do much talking to him. Instead, you're supposed to kill him. Boring. The followup quests are pretty fun, though.

Walkthrough
Enter the instance. Kill everything. Leave. Well, okay, you wanted more detail? There really isn't any. The Bazil Thedd fight is the only one that's interesting at all, and that only because incautious players can accidentally aggro too much of the room. Be cautious at his end of the dungeon. If you have a rogue in your party, use sap to break up groups. Or have your mage polymorph. After the instance, keep your group together to do the followup to Bazil Thedd. The entire series takes place inside Stormwind or just outside the gates, and is pretty fun to do. Have some silk on hand ahead of time, 3 pieces per person.Register or log in to post a comment.
